Note: We are planning to open the final dinner to some of the conference participants who will like share their thoughts, perform in some ways, or display some works of art, which reflect the theme of the conference. Specifically, we want some reflections on how you will like the history of the future to be written.

Q. If I want to come earlier or stay longer than the conference period, what can I do?
A. Please contact the Organizing Committee at the following email address apruinquiry@nus.edu.sg. We will be pleased to arrange for your accommodation upon availability. Please note that you will have to pay for extra days spent. Upon arrival you will be required to pay for the extra days by credit card.

Q. What is the stand of the conference organizers about joint authors?
A. Apart from first authors who are given full subsidy, subsequent authors or those willing to participate in the conference without presenting any paper will have to pay a subsidized fee for accommodation, food and others. Please write to the following email address (apruinquiry@nus.edu.sg) if you are interested, you will be told how much you are supposed to pay.

Q. What should the length of my full paper be?
A. Full paper should be 10 pages, double-spaced. It is strongly recommended that full papers are uploaded in accordance with the regulation on the conference website. Please send the full paper in WORD FORMAT, Font size 12.

Q. What is the time frame for presentation?
A. 15 minutes for presentation and 15 minutes for questions and answers. You are advised to know the venue of your presentation as early as possible, it is also advisable that you upload you presentation on our system and see that it is in the right order about 3 hours before actual presentation. If you will be using any audio visual which you think will require some technical assistance, please let us know in time. Please save your presentation in either USB portable storage drive or floppy disk.

Q. Will the conference organizer pick/drop any student at the airport?
A. Please note that we do not make any provision to pick/drop anyone at the airport. But, if there is any student with special need, we will see how to help. However, the student will bear the transportation cost.

Q. When will the conference end on July 21?
A. Around 10.30p.m.

Q. Will there be a paper price for DSC participants?
A. No.

Q. What time can I check-in on the 16th of July?
A. PGPR operates 24/7. Once you arrive at PGPR, please proceed to collect your key at the Fire Post Station (FPS). How to locate the FPS will be indicated on the map that will be uploaded on the website later.

Q. What time I am expected to check-out on the 22nd of July?
A. The standard time is 12p.m.

Q. Will ECC participant be mandated to participate in DSC?
A. No.

Q. Are ECC participants encouraged to participate in DSC?
A. Yes.

Q. What can DSC participants gain from participating in ECC presentations?
A. They will be able to learn how to write a business plan proposal. In addition, those in the early stage of their PhD programs will be motivated to think of the values which their research can contribute to the Pacific Rim Community. Let me say that they will be better equipped to compete for the award in subsequent DSC meeting.

Q. How much do I need to spend during my stay in Singapore?
A. Your estimated expenses during the conference:
Transportation from Changi Airport:
      (i) By Taxi    S$30 (Single Trip)
      (ii) By Train and Bus    S$10
Meals: S$3.50 to S$6 per meal
