Immersion Programmes
Immersion Programmes allow for accelerated and more complete learning of a language through the complete immersion in an environment where little else but the language is spoken and read. Typically 3 to 4 weeks long, the programme includes home stays, language classes, hands-on project work, lectures and workshops on the cultural and socio-historical aspects of the country and visits to nearby cities and attractions in the region. Students may participate in immersion programmes in France, Germany, Indonesia, Thailand, or Vietnam.

Field Studies Module
Field studies enable opportunities for knowledge learned in the classroom to be applied in real world settings, even as practical skills are developed on the ground. The Geography Field Studies module is one such module that has been successfully conducted over the years. For 4 weeks in Thailand, students apply concepts learned to develop frameworks for their proposed projects, develop methodologies and obtain primary data through interview, survey, observation and measurement strategies. Interactions with local students in Thai universities during the study allow students to develop a better awareness of local cultures. They also develop good interpersonal skills and develop complementary abilities in order to complete their field tasks.
