Chinese Language

The curriculum consists of Chinese linguistics and translation. Students will be given an in-depth understanding of the Chinese language system including its characters, phonetics and grammar system as well as formation of Chinese ‘words', the origin of Chinese characters , Chinese rhetoric, Chinese discourse analysis and pragmatics etc. Graduates who major in both Chinese Language and Chinese Studies will find themselves much in demand in the field of language education.
