Taxis
Unlike in many cities, taxis are inexpensive and
convenient means of transport in Singapore and
probably the best way to your accommodation from the
airport. In Singapore Changi Airport, you can find
‘Taxis’ signs in the arrival hall. A ride from the
airport to your accommodation takes about 25-30
minutes and costs S$18.00-32.00 excluding surcharges.
In town, you are able to catch one on streets or even
call for bookings. Surcharges include peak hours
surcharge, late night surcharge, airport surcharge,
phone bookings and advanced bookings (bookings prior
to 30 minutes and more). Also, Electronic Road Pricing
(ERP) charge is applicable if your taxi goes into the
Central Business District (CBD) or passes certain
points on expressways during its operational hours
(mostly Mon-Fri daytime).
The journey from airport to city costs approximately
between S$18.00-S$32.00 (excluding surcharges).
The airport surcharge:
- S$5.00 Fri-Sun (5pm-midnight);
- S$3.00 all other times;
- Late night surcharge (Midnight-5:59am):
50% of metered fare.

Airport Shuttle
This service goes to Central Business District and any
hotels in Singapore (excluding Changi Village hotel
and hotels on Sentosa Island). Please approach the
Airport Shuttle counter in the Arrival Hall. Return
journeys to the airport can be arranged at designated
hotels.

Limousine Taxis
This service brings you to any destination in
Singapore at a flat rate. Please approach the
Limousine Taxi counter in the Arrival Hall.
Travel Fare from Airport to City:
- S$45 per vehicle per trip
- S$10.00 late night surcharge applies from Midnight to 0600hr at
time of boarding
Trains (Mass Rapid Transit or MRT)
The Changi Airport MRT Station is located at the
basement of Terminals 2 and 3. The journey to the City
costs approximately $2.70 (inclusive of the $1.00
refundable deposit for single trip ticket) and takes
about 27 minutes. Please note that you would have to
switch trains at Tanah Merah MRT Station to get to the
City and that the luggage brought into the train
should not exceed 81cm x 58cm x 30cm. For more

Public Buses
Bus terminals are located at the basement of Terminals
1, 2 and 3. The services go to various parts of
Singapore. For city bound visitors, please take Bus
No. 36. Please prepare the exact fare as no change
will be given. You can obtain change from the Money
Changers in the Arrival Halls of the terminals.
