Five CLS students awarded Japanese Government Scholarships for language training in Osaka, Japan


The Japanese Government has launched full scholarships for university students studying the Japanese language in East Asian countries including Singapore, Philippines, Thailand and India, etc. The scholarships are funded by the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund as part of the Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange of Students and Youths (JENESYS) Programme, which will last for another four years.  A total of five students from the Centre for Language Studies are to be congratulated for their selection and they will be going to Japan to attend either the Spring Course (14 May to 25 June 2008) or the Summer Course (11 June to 23 July 2008). The students selected are:

Huang Weiling (FASS)
Tay Yuan Hao (FASS)
Ho Hong Wei(FASS)
Poh Kai Ling (Business)
Pan Xiangrui (Computer)
