Duties & Responsibilities 


Finance Operations 

  • Support in overall financial services and reporting.
  • Monitor and maintain accounts of funding from various entities, including research, gifts, endowments, operations and other sources
  •  Perform accounting related functions - procurement, payment, accounts receivable, journal entries, account reconciliation, review of balance sheet items, fixed assets and year end closing activities
  •  Handle taxation matters
  •  Prepare annual and quarterly financial statements for meetings and reviews
  •  Assist in internal and external audit
  •  Work closely with the Finance team in Dean's Office & Office of Finance to ensure smooth operation of all finance matters; see to the implementation of policies and procedures and observation of guidelines 

PA to HOD 

  • Secretarial support to HOD
  •  Manage calendar of Head of Department
  •  Other secretarial duties like screening and redirecting of calls
  •  Prioritising appointments, action items  and correspondences
  •  Make travel arrangements and submit claims 

Other Ad Hoc Duties 

  • Provide support in events and other department activities
  •  Assist in general office administration
  •  Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned      


  • Minimum Diploma level with at least 2 years of relevant working experience in finance and secretarial support
  •  Competence in Excel and knowledge of SAP & GeBiz will be an added advantage
  •  Must be a team player with good writing and communication skills
  •  Possess excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with people at all levels
  •  Meticulous and able to multi-task
  •  Independent and able to work under pressure, meeting targets and deadlines with minimum supervision
  •  Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
