| Cynthia Owens Cynthia Owens is an award-winning journalist with 2 decades of experience working for some of the world's leading news organizations including The Wall Street Journal, ABC News and CNBC. She has been based in Asia for 15 years, working in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore. Cynthia has a MS in journalism degree from Northwestern University. From 2001-2006, she was senior vice president for news and programming for CNBC Asia. She created the first co-produced news programming in China. She also led the team at CNBC Asia launching groundbreaking content for mobile phones and spearheaded the Asian contributions to cnbc.com. For 5 years, Cynthia was a reporter for The Asian Wall Street Journal and The Wall Street Journal in the region. In New York, Cynthia started the business unit for ABC News and she was a vice president at iVillage.com, the popular women's web site.
