My undergraduate thesis focused on five award-winning television commercials in the Philippines and reflects my interest in advertising, public relations and creative writing. After a brief stint in the advertising industry, I ventured into broadcast journalism and never looked back.
As a correspondent for the government television, (NBN-4), I have covered and reported on the political scene in the Philippines since 1996 from the House of Representatives to Malacanang Palace. I have also been involved in the production of documentaries on local current affairs as well as on ASEAN and APEC. I also served as anchor/host for the weekend news and other special coverage events during elections, impeachment trials and other breaking news.

Proposed Thesis Title: Riding the Cyber-campaign Wave in the 2007 RP Midterm Elections: Hits and Misses
Proposed Abstract: The recently-concluded mid-term elections have shown that politicians are increasingly moving into cyberspace which is considered another arena for conducting electoral campaigns. While internet penetration is quite low in the country, the Philippines makes for an interesting case to examine. Filipinos are known to be techy-savvy, and made headlines around the world when they ousted former President Joseph Estrada through sms technology. For this reason it may also be worth looking into the perception of Filipinos on this so-called ‘new’ way of reaching out to voters, this time, via campaign websites on the internet.
