I graduated from the National University of Singapore with a B.Soc.Sci (Hons) in Communications and New Media in 2008, but have stayed on to pursue a Masters degree. I love learning and hate studying, but the joy of learning has so far outweighed the pain of studying. In my free time, I play tennis, make music, surf the internet for trivia and gossip, and play a bit of computer games.

Transgender Representations

The paper aims to appreciate and problematise research in the representation of the transgender identity. There are many discourses and methodological issues that have to be addressed. Taking into the consideration the recent change in my thesis topic (as in September 2008), I am working on two questions/problems/challenges: What is transgender representation, and how is the transgender identity represented?
