Information Communication Technologies and Development (ICTD), an interdisciplinary approach to understand the multidimensional impact of technology diffusion, resistance and acceptance in developing societies raises practical and theoretical questions relating to State-civil society-market relationships and interactions in the domain of ICT-based development interventions. This special issue of the Science, Technology & Society Journal brings together articles critically analyzing the nature, patterns and consequences of ICT expansion in rural Asia. Contributors to the volume include scholars from NUS, other Asian institutions, Europe and USA. Social and Cognitive Lab members Dr. Lim Sun Sun and Dr. Peichi Chong contributed articles to the special issue.
