In support of this aim, the NCPG encourages original empirical research examining issues directly related to problem gambling, through its Problem Gambling Research Grant. To date, the Problem Gambling Research Grant has been awarded to 14 undergraduate students and 2 post graduate students.

b) Seek approval from the student’s thesis supervisor (who must be a faculty member of a local university); and

c) Obtain clearance from the relevant Institutional Review Board or Ethics Committee on human subjects in the university/department.
