CD-Rom on Singapore Poetry in English and New Voices From Singapore
We are also proud to contribute to the interaction between local culture and modern technology, and to bringing local talent to the notice of a wider audience at home and overseas. Singapore Poetry in English and New Voices From Singapore are part of a three-volume series of audio CDs featuring poets from Singapore reading from their own work. Singapore Poetry in English was recorded and published on behalf of the Department of English Language and Literature, NUS, with support from the Open University Singapore Division in August 1998

The series is part of the Department’s Recorded Poetry Archive of Works, which was set up to preserve the unique aspect of the local literary heritage for students, scholars, and for the general reader interested in poetry. Poets featured include Edwin Thumboo, Arthur Yap, Lee Tzu Pheng, Leong Liew Geok, Alfian Sa’at, Alvin Pang and Alfie Lee. Its covers feature reproductions of two oil-paintings by local artist and Department faculty member, Dr Ho Chee Lick.
