FASSTrack Asia Advancement Bursary Fund

At NUS, we see the critical inquiry into Asia and the training of minds to engage with Asia as an urgent and compelling endeavor. AS8 is the newest building on NUS Kent Ridge campus designated as the hub of our Asia teaching and research. It is home to FASS’ five Asian Studies Departments, namely: Japanese Studies, Chinese Studies, Southeast Asian Studies, Malay Studies and South Asian Studies, and the University’s Asia Research Institute. We envision the renewed surroundings will facilitate the ease for scholars and students to interact with leading experts in the field and promote learning of Asia and its interactions with the world, giving prominence to Asian Studies at NUS.

To commemorate the launch of AS8, we will be establishing the FASSTrack Asia Advancement Bursary Fund. Our target is to raise S$200,000 in expendable gifts. The Celebrating Asian Studies@NUS FASS Gala Dinner will be held at NUSS Kent Ridge Guild House on 27 September 2017, and donors will be invited to the dinner (Click here for more information).

Your gift will provide opportunities for financially needy students to have an experiential learning experience in Asia; preparing them for the future where much development and changes will be taking place in this region. We would be delighted if you could consider a social investment and make a gift in support of this Fund. All gifts made are eligible for a tax deduction of 2.5 times the donation value.
