For registration, click here.
Deadline for Early Bird Registration is 15 March 2007.
Registration fees (including conference materials, lunches,
receptions and coffee/tea) = $590 ($690 after 15 March 2007)
Hotel accommodation can be booked at the conference hotel
(Shangri-La Tanjung Aru Resort) at a special conference rate:
Conference package = $950 for five days (24-29 June)
or Room per night = $210
Please note that rates are per room inclusive of breakfast. The
maximum occupancy per room is two adults and two children under 12 years
old. Delegates may therefore wish to share a room with a colleague to reduce
costs. Conference participants are not obliged to book the conference hotel
and may prefer to make their own arrangements. However, we recommend the
conference hotel for convenience and the high standard of facilities.
When registering, delegates are required to pay the
registration fee and a 20% deposit on the accommodation. The balance of
the accommodation is due on 8 June 2007. Payment can be made by credit
card (secure online site) or by bank draft which should be mailed to
the conference secretariat.
Field Trips
Mid-conference fieldtrips are scheduled for 27 June.
Indicate your preference on the registration form, if required. Field
trip fees ($70) will be collected at the conference.
A range of pre-conference and post-conference
trips have been proposed. The exact cost and itenerary of the field
trips will be partly dependent on the strength of interests indicated
at registration. A minimum number of participants is required for each
trip to be viable. The estimated costs for these fieldtrips are:
1. Gunung Mulu Caves and Karst (pre-conf 4 days - $800)
2. Danum Valley Conservation Area (pre-conf 4 days - $500)
3. Mt Kinabalu Climb (post-conf 3 days - $400)
4. Maliau Basin Conservation Area (post-conf 5 days - $800)
