Professor Henry Yeung is the Deputy Head of the Department and sits on the editorial board as a member of the Singapore Journal of Tropical Geography. He is Editor of Environment and Planning A (Pion), Economic Geography (Clark University), Review of International Political Economy (Routledge); and Asia-Pacific Editor of Global Networks (Blackwell).

He also serves on the editorial advisory boards of International Journal of Urban and Regional Research; East Asia: An International Quarterly; Journal of Economic Geography (Oxford University Press); European Urban and Regional Studies (Sage); 21st Century Society: the Journal of the Academy of the Social Science (Routledge); Annals of the Japan Association of Economic Geographers (Japan Association of Economic Geographers); Asia Pacific Journal of Management (Kluwer); Critical Perspectives on International Business (Emerald); Asia Pacific Viewpoint (Blackwell) and Eurasian Geography and Economics (Bell Publisher).

Between 2001 and 2008, he is the Southeast Asia Representative to the Commonwealth Geographical Bureau Management Committee, UK. In NUS, he chaired the University Taskforce on Research Benchmarking in the Humanities and Social Sciences (2005-2006) and served on the University Research Committee and University Taskforce on Graduate Education. Within the Department, Professor Yeung is Chair to the PDF/IMMF/Visiting Scholar Scheme; the Graduate Student Committee and Research/Teaching Strategies.

He is also the Coordinator of the Political Economies of Transformations in Asia Research Group; Department Benchmarking, and Journal Classification.
