Associate Professor Lu Xixi is a member of the editorial boards of the Earth Surface Processes and Landforms, Singapore Journal of Tropical Geography, Online Journal of Earth Science, The Open Geology Journal, an associate editor of Asia Pacific Journal of Climate Change, and a review board member of International Journal of Sediment Research.

He is a Singapore representative of the International Association of Geomorphologists (IAG), an Executive Board member of Trans Asiatic GIS Society and a member of the International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS).

Within the Department, Associate Professor Lu is a member of the Research Strategy Sub-Committee; Graduate Student Committee; Journal Classification; and Tropical Environments Research Group.

He is also one of the co-coordinators of the GIS & Map Resource Unit and the committee member for the Laboratory/Departmental Equipment and GIS Lab.
