Associate Professor Victor R. Savage is a member of the Campus Green Committee; Southeast Asian Advisor to the International Relations Office (IRO); member of the University Town Graduate Residence sub-committee; member of the management committee of the Masters in Environmental Management (MEM) programme; and member of the Faculty’s Alumni Relations Committee.

He is currently co-editor of the Singapore Journal of Tropical Geography. He is also a member of the Geografiska Annaler (Sweden) and Sustainability Science (Tokyo). In addition, he is also a board member of the Singapore Environment Council (SEC), steering committee member of the Asia-Europe Workshop Series, Academic Advisory Board member of Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS), Complaints Committee Member (Lay member) of the Singapore Dental Council, Chair of Sembawang Shipyard’s Green Wave Advisory Board, and Advisor to the Ministry of Education’s Southeast Asia School-based Enrichment Programme (2007-08).

He is also President of the Commonwealth Geographical Bureau (CGB) (2004-2008); and Vice-President, Asian Federation of American Studies Association. Within the Department, Victor is the coordinator of the H3/HSSMP/HSSRP; USP/GEM/SS Modules, and chair of the Alumni Committee.
