Environmental modules cover ecological and environmental processes and change. Environmental management practices are also examined, with reference to the Tropics.

Social/cultural Geography focuses on social trends and cultural processes as they shape the world in which we live. Students engage with issues of identity, equality, conflict and development impacts.

For students doing Honours in Geography, there are four compulsory modules (GE1101E, GE4101A, GE4101B, and any one module dealing with methods/GIS techniques, eg. GE2215, GE2225, GE3216, GE3230 and GE3233).

GE1101E is compulsory for all majors. Modules available in the Department of Geography may be divided into seven categories. Each category has modules spreading across four different years, to allow students to progress from one year to the next. Students are encouraged to select modules in any category according to their interest and career aspirations.

The above are all the modules available in the Department. For those offered in 06/07 only, please click the respective levels of "Modules Offered" under the Related Links.
