SHOGI CLUB

The Shogi Club is a newly formed club in 2005 to introduce Japanese chess to the students. Another variant of chess besides "Go", Shogi is a popular game and past-time among the Japanese.

While other chess too demand heavy strategizing in play, the uniqueness of Shogi comes in being able to replace captured pieces onto the board as your own. This opens up many possibilities in every game that is played, be it an overwhelming victory, or turning the tides of the game. As such, the number of strategies that can used in any game is very large, and no game will be the same as another.

Please contact us at u0601932@nus.edu.sg for any enquiries about the Shogi Club, or the game itself.
