CREDIT TRANSFER FOR STUDY ABROAD INITIATIVES
Students who pursue study-abroad opportunities in universities are eligible for credit transfers depending on certain conditions.

Universities with Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with NUS
Credits for modules (taught in Japanese and English) taken at these universities are transferable if a student apply with documents showing the syllabus and total number of formal contact hours of the relevant module. Depending on the amount of work required by a particular course of study, the student will be given appropriate credits by the relevant department/centre/programme in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS). |

First Tier National Universities without MOUs with NUS
Credit transfers will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Students going for these exchanges must submit their application for credit transfer with documents showing the syllabus and total number of formal contact hours of the relevant module once they have been accepted for the study-abroad programmes. |

Other National Universities without MOUs with NUS
Credit transfers will be approved on a case-by-case basis. Students must submit their application for credit transfer once they have been accepted for the study-abroad programmes. |

Other Public (Prefectural & Municipal) & Private Universities without MOUs with NUS
Credit transfers will be approved on a case-by-case basis. Students must submit their application for credit transfer once they have been accepted for the study-abroad programmes. |
