Programme Requirements
Students who qualify for the MA programme are required to take an intensive course on theory and method in Malay Studies during their first year. Only those who have successfully passed a written examination based on the course are allowed to proceed to the next stage, viz, the preparation of a research thesis not exceeding 40,000 words.
