The Malay Studies Society (NUS)
Students of the department are steadfastly engaged in a variety of extra curricular activities just as they are in their studies. There are a host of sports, cultural and recreational activities that sprout throughout campus that they can choose from under the umbrella of various independent student bodies. One such organisation, The Malay Studies Society, has close links with the department. Since its formation in 1995, the Society has organised several events many of which served to promote interest in Malay Studies.
