A word about audio formats:
The WAV files type is an uncompressed aduio format which offers maximum quality at the expense of larger file size.
Users who wish to preserve maxiumum audio quality and who do not mind the size may wish to select this file type.

The MP3 format is the option for users who wish to keep the file size small (eg. For transferring acrodd the internet) yet want the best possible quality. Notet that because this is a compressed audio format, its quality may be slightly inferior to the WAV format.
But as most of its compression is done by removing portions which are inaduible to the human ears, this may meet your requirements.
