Graduate Workshop on Transnational Migration:  New Perspectives

Within the social sciences and humanities, migration research presents to all a vibrant and expanding field to explore. This workshop is the first of a series of graduate workshops organised by the graduate students of the Migration Research Cluster. It aims to bring together presenters from an international cohort and varying academic backgrounds to synthesize and synergize new ways in which migration issues can be thought about. The focus of this graduate workshop examines the varying migrant issues located in the geographical areas of South East Asia, South Asia and the Middle East, and the topical areas of gender, nationality, race, sexuality and cosmopolitanism within migration.

Panel discussants are Dr Parvati Raghuram and Dr Rachel Silvey.
