COURSE STRUCTURE

Candidates will be expected to pass a total of ten elective modules, of which will cover three areas: International Economics, International Relations, and Development Studies.

Not all electives will be offered in any one year, depending on the balance of offering and staff availability.



Cohort Requirements

Students admitted from Semester 2 A2006/2007 and after

Read and pass 10 electives (40 MCs), which includes at least 2 modules from each field of International Economics, International Relations, and Development Studies.

Obtain a minimum Cumulative Average Point (CAP) of 3.00.

 

Students admitted in Cohort 2005 and Semester 1 of AY2006/2007

Read and pass 3 essentials (12 MCs)

Read and pass 7 electives (28 MCs), which includes at least 2 modules from each field of International Economics, International Relations, and Development Studies.

Obtain a minimum Cumulative Average Point (CAP) of 3.00.

 

Students admitted in Cohort 2004

Read and pass 3 essentials (12 MCs)

Read and pass 7 electives (28 MCs)

Obtain a minimum Cumulative Average Point (CAP) of 3.00

 

Students admitted in Cohorts 2003 and 2002

Read and pass 3 essentials (12 MCs)

Read and pass 5 electives (20 MCs)

Obtain a minimum Cumulative Average Point (CAP) of 2.50

 

Students admitted in Cohort 2001

Read and pass 3 essentials (12 MCs)

Read and pass 3 electives (12 MCs)

Dissertation (8 MCs)

Obtain a minimum Cumulative Average Point (CAP) of 2.50
