MODULE STRUCTURE


Hours of Instruction

Each module of the Master of Social Sciences (International Studies) programme will consist of a minimum of three hours of lectures/tutorials per week.


Assessment

The assessment for each module will be based on a combination of written examination and continuous assessment.  An examination will be held at the end of each semester.

A student must have obtained a minimum Cumulative Average Point (CAP) of 3.00 at the end of the course of study before he/she can be considered for the award of degree.

The candidature of a student will be terminated if he/she obtains a CAP of:

 

Less than 2.50 for two consecutive semesters; or

 

Less than 3.00 for three consecutive semesters; or

 

Fails more than two modules
