Woman of the Year Award for Sociology Alumna

 

We congratulate Dr Noeleen Heyzer for being named Woman of the Year by Her World magazine.  The award was given in recognition of her contributions to championing women's issues within the United Nations.

 

Dr Heyzer is Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific.  She obtained her BA (Sociology major) and MA from NUS.
