| ULR |
FACULTY |
MAJORS |
UNRESTRICTED ELECTIVES |
SSM: 4 MCs
GEM: 8 MCs (at least 4 MCs from GEM A)
Breadth: 16 MCs |
Exposure Modules: 16 MCs; at least 4 MCs from each of the three divisions |
Fulfil single major requirements of both majors and pursue honours in at least one major. |
Not Required |
Important Notes:
- Students pursuing the double major are required to maintain a CAP of 4.0 and above throughout their candidature.
- Where possible, students are allowed to use a maximum of 28 MCs (7 modules) from one major to fulfill the requirements of the second major when pursuing honours in both subjects. If only one honours programme is pursued the limit is 16 MCs (4 modules).
- Students will only have one CAP and one degree.
- Students must pursue either a 88 MCs + 88 MCs honours track or a
88 MCs + 56 MCs honours and single major track to graduate with a double major degree. [88 MCs = Honours; 56 MCs = Single Major]
- Students will have to choose which degree they want to graduate with if the major subjects are BA and BSocSci. They can do so when they file for graduation.
- The tables listed in the next few pages are some possibilities of double majors with EU. As the ULR and Faculty requirements are quite standard, they are not listed. Only the major combinations will be listed. Where the double counted modules are crosslisted, students may read either module code. For Political Science, and Economics, the number of modules that can be double counted are less, hence students reading these combinations will need to read more modules than those doing a double major with History and Philosophy.
- Exit:
- Students who wish to withdraw from the double major programme will then pursue a single honours or single major in one subject. The modular credits of the second subject will then be used to fulfill the Unrestricted Electives requirement.
- Permission will have to be sought by the student from the Vice-Dean of undergraduate matters before withdrawing.
- Students who do not maintain the CAP requirements will not be allowed to continue with the double major programme.
