REQUIREMENTS
- COHORT 2006 & AFTER
MINOR IN EUROPEAN STUDIES
Accumulate at least 24 MCs of EU, EU recognised and French or German language modules which include:
1. Read and pass the following module:
EU1101E Making of Contemporary Europe
2. Read and pass an additional 20 MCs of EU, EU recognised modules including at least 8 but at most 12 MCs of language modules in either French or German. Of these, at least 4 MC must be at level-3000.
Additional language modules read (over and above the required number stated above) cannot be used to fulfil major requirements.
Students who have prior knowledge of French or German will be allowed to enrol for higher level language modules. Placement tests will determine the appropriate starting level for such students.
Waivers of 1 or 2 language modules will be granted to students who begin the language module at LAF4203/LAG4203 or LAF4204/ LAG4204 accordingly.
Students who are granted waivers are required to enrol in EU or EU-recognised non-language modules at level-4000 to meet the number of modular credits that were waived.
