Singapore
Studies embraces a series of modules dealing with various
aspects of Singapore: its geography and history, its society
and economy, its politics and international relations.
These
modules focus on providing content and analysis essential
for future leaders of our nation. They are designed to
encourage a critical understanding of the key issues facing
Singapore, as well as the contexts and constraints of
policy- and decision-making in Singapore and the Asia-Pacific
region.
Starting from the 2001-2002 cohort, all students (except
those from the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry and Law)
are required to read and pass one Singapore Studies
module within the period of their candidature. Students
from the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry and Law may
still take a Singapore Studies module for enrichment purposes.
Note: Students may not take Singapore Studies modules
that are cross-listed with their major subjects to fulfill
their Singapore Studies requirements. |
