Visiting Appointments

The department has hosted post-doctoral fellows and scholars on other visiting appointments with financial support by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences/NUS. More information about these programs is available on the FASS website.

Postdoctoral Fellowship is for those who obtained their doctoral degrees recently (no more than three years before date of application).

Visiting Scholars who wish to spend between 1 to 3 months with the department may apply for funding from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Ten Visiting scholarships are made available to scholars in any area of humanities and social sciences in each financial year.

The Isaac Manasseh Meyer Fellowship (IMMF) is for those interested in a shorter stay of up to 1 month.

Visiting Faculty appointments with teaching responsibilities of one to two years are also possible. Professor John Greenwood from the City University of New York will be visiting the department in AY 2008-2009.

Other than the above visiting appointments, we welcome any philosophers passing through Singapore to present papers at our Philosophy seminars. The Philosophy Seminar coordinator is Dr H.C. Loy
