NUS-ANU Joint Degree | Student Exchange Program | How to Map a Module

 

NUS-ANU Joint Degree

University Scholars who wish to major in Philosophy may be interested in the NUS Bachelor of Arts (Honors)/ANU Bachelor of Philosophy (Honors) joint degree under the University Scholars Program. For more information, please visit the USP website:

Student Exchange Program (SEP)

The Philosophy Department has a Department SEP agreement with the Institute of Philosophy at Bayreuth University, Germany

Applicants to the Bayreuth University SEP should be registered full time students of NUS, and preferably a Singapore citizen or PR. They should have
a) completed at least one semester of study at NUS upon application for SEP
b) completed at least two semesters of study at NUS upon admission to Bayreuth.
c) have a minimum CAP of 3.0.

How to Map a Module

1) Check this department’s list of Philosophy modules to find the closest match in description to the module you wish to map.
2) Contact the Philosophy SEP Coordinator with the following information about the module you wish to map:
a. course description and level
b. course syllabus (detailed topics covered)
c. reading list
d. workload (contact hours, assignments)
(If information is not available on the web, you should try contacting the lecturer conducting the module in the SEP partner university to obtain that information. Without the necessary information, it is difficult for the coordinator to help you map the module)
