NUS Programme

The NUS Clinical Psychology Masters Degree is a two-year full-time coursework programme, which provides entry level training for graduates who seek a professional career in Clinical Psychology.

It is based on the scientist-practitioner approach and builds on theoretical knowledge and core competencies for clinical practice. It is taught through coursework, research and practical placement experience.

This programme has an annual intake in August.

NUS-UM Programme

The Joint Clinical Psychology Masters Degree Programme between the University of Melbourne and NUS (NUS-UM Programme) is a two-year full-time coursework programme, which provides entry level training for graduates who seek a professional career in Clinical Psychology.

It is based on the scientist-practitioner approach and builds on theoretical knowledge and core competencies for clinical practice. It is taught through coursework, research and practical placement experience.

Students take courses at the University of Melbourne during their first year of study and return to NUS in their second year to complete the remaining modules and clinical placements.

The Joint Programme will run in partnership with UM. Teaching and vacation periods will be consistent with UM academic calendar which commences in March and terminates in December. As such, students will be admitted in Semester 2 of the NUS teaching calendar, which is Semester 1 of the UM teaching calendar. To accommodate clinical placements, some modifications to examination and vacation periods may be made.

The Joint Degree Programme with UM received full accreditation from the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) in November 2011.

This programme has an annual intake in January.

** Individuals holding an Australian citizenship or permanent resident status are not eligible to apply to the joint programme.
