FASS Research Clusters and Centres

About the Clusters

The NUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) set up multidisciplinary Research Clusters in 2006. Since then the cluster group has grown to seven clusters and continues to foster academic excellence by promoting high-impact research in innovative areas of relevance to Singapore and the Asian region. The Research Clusters provide a platform for faculty members with intersecting interests to exchange ideas and develop research initiatives across departmental lines. Cluster output ranges from small seminars to international conferences; from research grant funding to research publications; all while encouraging the graduate student community through student-organized reading groups and workshops. The FASS Research Division is also home to the Singapore Research Nexus.
