She holds a PhD and an MSc in Media and Communications from the London School of Economics. Her research interests are the social implications of new media and public perceptions of new technology. Her current research projects focus on the domestication of ICTs by middle-class families in Asia, and public perceptions of new media piracy and online privacy. She is also a member of the National Internet Advisory Committee which advises Singapore’s Media Development Authority on issues relating to new media.
