Students are strongly advised to check for the latest timetable in July (for Semester 1) and December (for Semester 2) each year.

Important Notes:

  1. Please refer to myPortal@NUS for information on Online Registration of Modules.

  2. Class timetable is available to NUS students only. Please log-in with your NUSNET ID and Password here (for Semester 1) and here (for Semester 2).

  3. MA Coursework students may cross-enrol in not more than 5 graduate modules from the pre-approved list of modules offered by other Departments/Faculties during their candidature, subject to the rules laid out and the approval of the Head of the Department of Southeast Asian Studies and the Department offering the module(s). Please download and submit a duly completed form (FASS-G51/09) to the Department's General Office by the stipulated deadline each semester.

  4. A student who wishes to register for SE5660 or SE6660 Independent Study must submit a duly completed agreement form together with a research proposal to the Department General Office by the stipulated deadline in each semester for the HOD's approval.

  5. SE6770 is a compulsory module for MA and PhD (by research) students and will be graded as "Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory" based on student's presentation and class participation. This module is not open to coursework students.

  6. Language modules are strictly not allowed to be used to fulfill the graduation requirements of MA (coursework and research) and PhD (research) degree candidates.
