| SINGLE INTAKE FOR SOCIOLOGY POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMME AND NEW DEADLINE FOR ADMISSIONS |
The Department is moving towards a single intake in August for the Sociology graduate programme (Semester I) by AY2012/2013. This means the first single intake will be August 2012.
During the interim period (i.e. AY2010/2011 and AY2011/2012), the Department does not encourage any January intake applications. |

The Faculty has implemented a new deadline for the August intake:
| Semester I (August) |
1 November (deadline) |
December to March (outcome) |
Please note: late applications received after the
deadline will be considered for the next intake.
Example - For AY2012/2013
- For the August 2012 intake: Application forms (PLUS supporting documents) must reach the GSU by 1 November 2011. Results will be released from the GSU between late December 2011 to March 2012.
