Our new Creative Work database is a repository for literary and dramatic works related to Singapore which are written by FASS Faculty and Students, past and present. The contents of this work-in-progress call on the theories and techniques taught and researched at FASS. Some of the creative work links to a sample of the original text. Research is also ongoing and the database will grow as we continue to update it. Items with the symbol “i” indicate that an abstract is available.

N. which wax lyrical about the beauty of poetry and how it is important to appreciate it through thought and emotions. She then begins with talking about the difference in the development of Malay literature in Singapore compared to other countries in the Malay world. She then gives a list of anthologies of poetry from 1995 to 1999. Following that, she proceeds with a history of the Singapore Malay world before writing brief biographies and featuring some of the works by Singapore Malay writers such as Djamal Tukimin and Hadijah Rahmat.
