EVENTS

The Science, Technology & Society and Global Cities Research Clusters of FASS are collaborating on this workshop series whose aim is to provide an avenue for graduate students within the faculty with similar research interests to come together. It is hoped that by looking at key texts on these themes in an interdisciplinary environment, the sessions will generate discussion and ideas that may broaden the scope of your research and/or contribute to your research agendas.
Graduate Students have been bringing a reasonably wide range of interests to the series and have between them offered research experiences based upon both detailed studies and broad theoretical concerns. We also look forward to the chance of publishing work related to the topic of the series
How does it work?
Graduate Students are invited to contribute by suggesting texts or topics for discussion or by just attending and taking part in the discussions. The texts for each session are made available to participants prior to the session via access to a SharePoint site. During the sessions which are generally held monthly, student members take turns to present their suggested texts together with a faculty member who will chair the session.

If your research interests lie within one or more of these areas and you would like to gain contacts within FASS beyond your home department and add breadth to your research agenda, we invite you to be a part of this group and benefit from the workshops and events that we will be organizing throughout the semester and beyond.
Texts by the following authors may be discussed throughout the series:
ALL GRADUATE STUDENTS OF THE FACULTY OF ARTS AND SOCIAL SCIENCES ARE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE
