Student Life

We would like to invite you to participate in the SG100 COMPASS ‘Think Future’ Policy Forum series. As a participant, you will get to listen to a series of policy proposal presentations by youth leaders who have undergone 8 months of policy workshops and mentor guidance. A robust discussion will then ensue with the expert panel, you, and the student presenters. This aims to broaden your understanding of the policy issues Singapore face today and how they can be solved from a youth perspective. At the end of the forum, a dialogue with a minister will ensue.

The FASS Mentorship Programme (FASSMP), established in 2006, provides a link between FASS undergraduates and successful FASS alumni. Providing insights on specific career sectors and how to get ahead, established alumni act as mentors to guide you in charting a career path ahead.

Dear Students,

In the spirit of promoting volunteerism, the Tan Mingwei Global Community Service Grant is set up for the purpose of awarding students who carry out meaningful community work in developing countries just like what Mingwei actively pursued, and was transformed by the experience gained from the projects. It aims to encourage students to take on projects that help communities sustain themselves over a longer term.

Dear FASS Freshmen,
As we approach the end of the semester, the Dean’s Office is organising a 2-hour session next week to help you prepare for your first exams at FASS. Specially designed for students in their first year, FASS Forward to the Exams features 4 lecturers and 4 senior-year students across different disciplines, who will share their insight on how to deal with your exams in an interactive seminar setting.
