Student Exchange Programme: What Must I Do?

While at Partner University

Staying in Contact

Overseas Diplomatic Missions

Contact and register your personal particulars at the Diplomatic Mission of your nationality upon arrival at the country of the Assigned Partner University (e.g. a Singapore national should contact the Singapore's Embassy/High Commission, which is usually in the capital city. They may also register on-line at http://www.mfa.gov.sg).

NUS Email Account
You will be contacted via your NUS e-mail account. Please check your account regularly and ensure that the mailbox quota is not exceeded.

Academic Matters

Changes in Study Plan
If you are overseas and realise that the module that you had mapped is not offered and you would like to read another module, or if there is another module (originally not mapped) that you would like to read, you may seek approval from the relevant department(s) via e-mail.

Please include a detailed course description, contact hours, modes of assessment and all other relevant information in your e-mail request to the departments.

Once approval has been obtained, e-mail the final approved and amended study plan to the FASS, Dean's Office.

Overseas Transcript

Upon completion of your exchange semester, remember to apply for your transcript (from the Partner University) before returning home.

Please note down the e-mail address or fax number of the person to contact regarding transcript matters. Ask when you should expect your transcript to be ready and sent to you or the Registrar's Office at NUS.
