Student Exchange Programme: What Must I Do?

Pre-Departure

SEP Study Plan & Module Mapping

You must submit an approved and confirmed NUS SEP Study Plan to the Dean's Office before leaving for the SEP. You may approach the Departmental Liaison SEP Person should you have any doubts about the equivalence of the modules.

Students who wish to read an overseas module and match it to a NUS GEM module, must obtain approval from the Registrar's Office.

You may only transfer credits if you have passed the modules and had obtained approval for the mapping. You are responsible for checking that the modules can be used to fulfil graduation requirements.

Credit transfers will not be allowed for overseas module read under the 'Pass/Fail' option.

SEP Leave of Absence

Your status will be updated to reflect that you are away on student exchange in the semester that you are on exchange.

For those who are going to the European universities, we will update your status two months after the term starts.

Should you decide to withdraw or if your application is rejected by the partner university, please inform the Faculty. This is important as it has implications on the registration of modules, and other administrative matters.

Checklist

The Dean's Office has incorporated the International Relations Office checklist, which is a comprehensive list of necessary items to pack for your exchange stay.
