The NUS Next Age Institute in collaboration with Washington University in St Louis, will be introducing a new initiative to develop Singapore’s curriculum on Financial Capability and Asset building (FCAB) for use by social workers in their work with low income families on household financial matters. The Singapore FCAB curriculum will also be used for social work education at the National University of Singapore.
The even includes a workshop titled: “Social Work Intervention with Low-income Families: Issues and Challenges on Building Financial Capabilities”. The workshop serves as a platform for social workers and academics to discuss research findings and social work interventions in uplifting vulnerable families on financial related matters. The knowledge and insights gained will contribute to curriculum development.
