Career Preparation

A FASS education equips you with the knowledge and skills that will never go out of demand. Faculty core modules ensure that all students receive training in the key domains of writing, expression, and communication, while classes in your chosen major bolster your research skills and critical-thinking abilities. In addition to imparting these skills, FASS also offers extensive career guidance and awards academic credits for internships.

Here are some exciting offerings you can look forward to, as you embark on your journey with us!

Designed to enhance the employability of our graduates, the FASS 2.0 Industry Tracks programme gives students pathways to five major industry sectors. Each track consists of a curated list of FASS majors, hard skills modules and industry relevant training needed to optimize their career fit with the defined sector.

Designed by NUS Centre for Future-ready Graduate (CFG), this graduation requirement module will help you explore and plan for you careers holistically at an early stage of your undergraduate studies.

Cohort 2019 onwards: CFG1002 Career Catalyst is a graduation requirement for FASS undergraduates.

Internships provide a bridge between the classroom and the workplace. They are simultaneously a platform for employers to scout for talent, and a means for you to network, gain industry experience, and find out how well your passions connect with the identified industry and job role.

The FASS Mentorship Programme establishes a relationship between FASS undergraduates and successful FASS alumni, who mentor the former by providing one-to-one career guidance. This include the sharing of valuable insights on specific industries and advice on how to chart your career path ahead, thereby empowering you with the knowledge to better prepare for your professional life after graduation.

FASS works closely with the  NUS Centre for Future-ready Graduates (CFG) to provide a range of career services for the students of FASS.

We also have a dedicated team of CFG career advisors based in FASS to support your career ambitions.
